DIN 2353 fitting types
Plan the connection at every straight run, turn, branch and equipment port. Detailed dimensions and part numbers are available in Fluidline’s dedicated technical resource.
Sizes, materials and connection options
Start with the tube outside diameter and fitting series. Then confirm the connection geometry and operating duty.
| Selection | Reference |
|---|---|
| Connection family | Metric 24° cone cutting-ring tube connections, referenced by DIN 2353 and ISO 8434-1. |
| Material selection | Specify the required stainless steel grade. The fitting reference lists 316L and 316Ti enquiry options; confirm availability for the chosen item. |
| Series and reference sizes | LL: 4–12 mm; L: 6–42 mm; S: 6–38 mm tube outside diameter. These are catalogue selection ranges, not confirmation that every size and configuration is stocked. |
| Equipment connections | BSPP, BSPT, metric, NPT and UN/UNF O-ring arrangements appear in the reference. Confirm the required thread, seat and seal. |
| Operating limits | Pressure and temperature depend on the supplied fitting, tube, seals and configuration. Obtain the applicable limits for the complete assembly. |
Specify the assembly, from port to support
A marked drawing or component list helps identify the complete tube run before an order is placed. Include changes of direction, branches, threaded transitions and isolation points.
- Define the connections. List tube diameter, wall thickness, fitting series and both end connections.
- Describe the service. Include fluid, pressure and pressure peaks, temperature, vibration and external exposure.
- Confirm the supply. Add quantities, delivery location, timing and any drawing or material-document requirements.
For replacement work, include photographs and existing markings. Matching the thread alone is not enough to identify the connection.

Hydraulic supply for projects and maintenance
For a new hydraulic assembly, plant modification or maintenance replacement, a consolidated enquiry helps identify the fittings and associated components before an order is placed. Mining operations, processing plants and industrial workshops can include tubing, valves and supports alongside the connection requirements.
Tell Fluidline the delivery town and country, required quantities and project timing. Request current availability, delivery arrangements and any required drawings or material documents with the quotation. Supply to African destinations is assessed against the actual order and delivery requirements.
