Within a hydrogen refueling station, the regulator is the critical component between the high-pressure storage system and the dispensing nozzle. Its job is to reduce and control pressure accurately as hydrogen is transferred into the vehicle tank, helping prevent over-pressurisation and overheating during the filling process.
Not all regulators are designed for hydrogen refueling duty. Many may be able to reduce pressure, but lack the high flow capacity and CV value needed to support faster vehicle fills. This can lead to slower refueling times, lower station efficiency and reduced throughput.
